Meeting up with friends and family, attending appointments and completing the weekly shop all help you keep busy and stay as healthy and active as possible.

To help you keep moving and able to get places as easily as possible, there are a number of travel schemes in place throughout Solihull.

The Motability scheme

Created to provide disabled people with a safe, reliable and affordable way to get around, the Motability scheme helps you get the assistance you need.

From powered wheelchairs and scooters to adapted and accessible cars, disabled people can exchange their mobility allowance for hassle free and comprehensive contract hire or hire purchase mobility packages.

Ring and Ride

Established to bring greater freedom and independence to people in the community with restricted mobility, Ring and Ride provides a fully accessible, door-to-door bus service.

Minibus hire

Operating a minibus service on behalf of us and other councils in the West Midlands, Community Transport is a company which offers passenger transport services across the region.

A fleet of 40 accessible and non-accessible minibuses are available for hire, giving easy access for self-drive hire, or hire with a driver.

If you find it difficult to shop on foot, or have difficulties walking around when shopping, you can hire a scooter or wheelchair to help you shop in the area with Shopmobility.

Shopmobility in Solihull is available at Touchwood shopping centre.
